When you use this website, various personal data are collected. Personal data is data by which you can be personally identified. This privacy policy explains what information we collect and how we use it.

Consent

By using our offers, you agree to this data protection declaration and also consent to the functions explained therein, namely the use of cookies and the use of analysis tools and aids for target group-specific or individualised advertising. If you do not agree to these functions, you can of course use the opt-out methods explained below.

Purpose of the data collection

We use the data we collect to make you a specific offer; to make a booking; to further develop our website and adapt it to new needs; to offer you relevant information and services or to send you our newsletter. Your personal data will not be transferred to third parties unless:
- you have given your express consent to this,
- the processing is necessary for the preparation of an offer or the execution of a contract with you,
- processing is necessary for compliance with a legal obligation,
- the processing is necessary to protect legitimate interests and there is no reason to assume that you have an overriding interest worthy of protection in the non-disclosure of your data.

Collection of general information

When you access our website, information of a general nature is automatically collected. This information (server log files) includes the type of web browser, the operating system used, the domain name of your internet service provider and similar. This is exclusively information that does not allow any conclusions to be drawn about your person. This information is technically necessary in order to correctly deliver the contents of web pages requested by you and is compulsory when using the Internet. Anonymous information of this kind is statistically evaluated by us in order to optimise our Internet presence and the technology behind it.

The processing of your personal data is based on our legitimate interest from the aforementioned purposes for data collection. We do not use your data to draw conclusions about your person. Recipients of the data are only the responsible body and, if applicable, order processors.

Anonymous information of this kind may be statistically evaluated by us in order to optimise our website and the technology behind it.

SSL encryption

In order to protect the security of your data during transmission, we use state-of-the-art encryption procedures (e.g. SSL) via HTTPS.

Cookies

Like many other websites, we also use so-called "cookies". Cookies are small text files that are transferred from a website server to your hard drive. This automatically provides us with certain data such as IP address, browser used, operating system and your connection to the Internet.

Cookies cannot be used to run programs or deliver viruses to a computer. The information contained in cookies allows us to facilitate your navigation and enable the correct display of our web pages.

Of course, you can also view our website without cookies. You have the option of rejecting cookies as soon as you start using our homepage.  Please note that individual functions of our website may not function optimally if you reject the use of cookies.

Use of script libraries (Google Webfonts)

In order to display our content correctly and in a graphically appealing manner across browsers, we use script libraries and font libraries such as Google Webfonts (https://www.google.com/webfonts/) on this website. Google Web Fonts are transferred to your browser's cache to avoid multiple loading. If the browser does not support Google Web Fonts or prevents access, content is displayed in a standard font.

Calling up script libraries or font libraries automatically triggers a connection to the operator of the library. It is theoretically possible - although it is currently unclear whether and, if so, for what purposes - that the operators of such libraries collect data. The privacy policy of the library operator Google can be found here: https://www.google.com/policies/privacy/

Use of Google Maps

This website uses Google Maps API to visually display geographical information. When using Google Maps, Google also collects, processes and uses data about visitors' use of the map functions. You can find more information about data processing by Google in the Google privacy policy. There you can also change your personal privacy settings in the Privacy Centre. Detailed instructions on managing your own data in connection with Google products can be found here.

Embedded YouTube videos

We embed YouTube videos on some of our websites. The operator of the corresponding plugins is YouTube, LLC, 901 Cherry Ave, San Bruno, CA 94066, USA. When you visit a page with the YouTube plugin, a connection to YouTube servers is established. This tells Youtube which pages you are visiting. If you are logged into your YouTube account, YouTube can assign your surfing behaviour to you personally. You can prevent this by logging out of your Youtube account first.

If a Youtube video is started, the provider uses cookies that collect information about user behaviour.

If you have deactivated the saving of cookies for the Google Ad programme, you will not have to expect any such cookies when watching Youtube videos. However, Youtube also stores non-personal usage information in other cookies. If you wish to prevent this, you must block the storage of cookies in your browser.

Further information on data protection at "Youtube" can be found in the provider's data protection statement at: https://www.google.en/intl/en/policies/privacy/

Social Plugins

We offer you the possibility of using so-called "social media buttons" on our website. To protect your data, we rely on the "Shariff" solution for implementation. This means that these buttons are only integrated on the website as a graphic that contains a link to the corresponding website of the button provider. By clicking on the graphic, you are thus redirected to the services of the respective provider. Only then will your data be sent to the respective providers. If you do not click on the graphic, no exchange takes place between you and the providers of the social media buttons. Information about the collection and use of your data in the social networks can be found in the respective terms of use of the corresponding providers. You can find more information about the Shariff solution here: https://www.heise.de/ct/artikel/Shariff-Social-Media-Buttons-mit-Datenschutz-2467514.html

We have integrated the social media buttons (Facebook & Instagram) of Facebook Inc. (1601 S. California Ave - Palo Alto - CA 94304 - USA) on our website.

Newsletter

If you have taken part in one of our events - or are interested in one and have left your email address, we will inform you sporadically about further offers or news. If you do not wish to be informed further, you can of course let us know - either via the corresponding link in the newsletter or by informing us of this wish via the contact option given at the end of this data protection notice.

The newsletter is sent via mailchimp.com. Your data will be transmitted to mailchimp.com. Mailchimp is prohibited from selling your data and using it for purposes other than sending newsletters. Mailchimp is a certified provider that has been selected in accordance with the requirements of the General Data Protection Regulation and the Federal Data Protection Act.

E-mail enquiry / contact form / comment function

If you contact us by e-mail or contact form, the information you provide will be stored for the purpose of processing the enquiry and for possible follow-up questions. The data you enter in the contact form will remain with us until you request us to delete it, revoke your consent to store it or the purpose for storing the data no longer applies (e.g. after we have completed processing your enquiry). Mandatory legal provisions - in particular retention periods - remain unaffected.

When users leave comments on our website, in addition to this information, the time of their creation and the user name previously selected by the website visitor are also stored. This serves our security, as we can be prosecuted for unlawful content on our website, even if it was created by users.

Deletion or blocking of data

We adhere to the principles of data avoidance and data economy. We therefore only store your personal data for as long as is necessary to achieve the purposes stated here or as stipulated by the various storage periods provided for by law. After the respective purpose has ceased to exist or these periods have expired, the corresponding data is routinely blocked or deleted in accordance with the statutory provisions.

Analysis Tools / Digital Marketing

We use modern, advanced analysis methods and tools to understand user behaviour on our website. This information helps us to continuously develop our offers and to provide targeted, relevant services and information. In principle, we only use data that is anonymised and does not allow any conclusions to be drawn about the identity of the user.

In the following, we will introduce you to the analysis services and technologies that we use for such purposes. We will also show you how you can prevent these services from evaluating your usage behaviour on our website.

Google Analytics

Google Analytics is an analytics tool that compiles statistics about how users use our website. It sends information about page views and steps taken by users (e.g. the duration, sequence and URL of visits and page views, the page from which the user came, as well as information about the device used, operating system, browser and settings and approximate location) to Google's servers. It uses cookies and similar means, e.g. so-called tracking pixels, to recognise users and to be able to assign them different steps and visits across different devices and sessions; this by means of anonymous characteristics, such as random identification numbers. No personal data is transmitted to Google; IP addresses used for spatial allocation are "masked" (shortened by certain digits) in advance for this purpose. Google explains further details in its data protection documentation. You can deactivate Google Analytics for your browser using an add-on.

Google AdWords and AdWords Conversions

Google AdWords are advertising offers from Google, which use cookies to recognise visitors to our website on other services. You can refuse this by changing your browser settings, which you can do on Google's selection page.

Google AdWords Conversions allow us to determine how clicks on ads or information on Google's platforms effectively lead to transactions and similar actions by users with us. These features use temporary cookies from Google and do not process individual user data. You can use the options provided by Google against the use of these cookies or make the appropriate browser settings.

Google Tag Manager

We use Google Tag Manager, a function for integrating tags into our website. This collects the IP address of incoming http requests and keeps it for a short time in order to be able to correct errors in the integration.

Changes to the data protection regulations

We reserve the right to adapt this data protection declaration so that it always complies with the current legal requirements or in order to implement changes to our services in the data protection declaration, e.g. when introducing new services. The new data protection statement will then apply to your next visit.

Questions about data protection

If you have any questions or concerns about the processing of your personal data, please email us or contact the person responsible for data protection in our organisation directly:
